A LITTLE ABOUT ME
My Therapeutic Style
My educational, professional, and personal experiences, combined with a profound desire to help people heal and grow, are the foundation of my work as a psychotherapist. I provide a space where you are free to explore and share yourself. I strive to create an environment that allows you to safely discuss, reflect, uncover, and change. My ability to help people feel safe, accepted and welcome has been the cornerstone of my success as a psychotherapist. You may come as you are to address the things that are affecting you today.
Education and Credentials
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Sonoma State University and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology (MFT Track) from Santa Clara University. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, MFC #50148, and a current member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
My Background
My professional background includes six years at the YWCA, where I worked at Willow Glen High School as a counselor and as the primary therapist for the Rape Crisis Center. I gained clinical expertise with teens, grief, mental illness, divorce, sexual trauma, depression, anxiety, mindfulness and life transition.
After my work at the YWCA, I started working with clients in private practice at my office in the Rose Garden area of San Jose. Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions about my background and experiences.
